Hi Lori,
I do have a Twitter account and have been tweeting, but I would like to do the challenge and be using Twitter with more purpose and direction. I can’t start in the next two weeks dues to scheduling. I’d love to be a Twitter buddy if you don’t mind me starting later.

Hey Lori – I’m in on the Twitter challenge. I’m going through this now, but I am totally out of my element here. I just have no idea how to best use this. No one I know personally really uses Twitter and so I am having difficulty try to figure out how to be effective if I use it.
If you and Margie have enough room for an extra person – I’d love to participate. I am starting right from the ground floor.
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks

James, Margie –Let’s do this. I had a twitter a long time ago but I found it a bit busy. I’d love to chat with you both and be together. I’ve read people get a lot of traffic, connections, opportunities from twitter so I’m definitely open to the process.
Do you want to chat here? Facebook IM? should we get together once in awhile for in person dialogue.

Lori – I don’t have a Facebook account. Chatting here is fine or if you have some other idea, I’d be up for whatever. I just started a Twitter account for the Twitter Challenge and have done basically the first exercise, but that’s about all.
Let me know how you want to proceed.

James! You launched! That is so cool. What is your twitter? we should add each-other. I will do the first exercise as well.
I’m cool with chatting here. I thought we could all add each-other and share our experiences and take the plunge together.

Hi Lori-Marie and James,
I’ve just looked at my schedule in the upcoming months in a more realistic way, and I see I need to focus more on our collaborative book of stories than the Twitter challenge right now. I can’t do both.
I’m sorry I spoke to soon, Lori-Marie. I love it that you asked for buddies – that was a really good idea. Wish I had the time to do this right now.
Sincerely,
Margie

Margie, you’re going to be missed but you’re absolutely right, it is a busy time. If you feel like jumping in a week or two- please do so, you’re always welcome.
James! I am nervous. But I’m going in.

Lori:
Yes I did launch my Twitter account. I am a bit embarrassed by this next statement, but it’s the truth so I’ll just put it out there.
How do I know what my Twitter account name is. I have no idea what it is exactly. I think it might be James Lee Schmidt@jamesleeschmidt – is that how the account works. I don’t know exactly.
Guess what – I just launched my account last night and I already have 18 followers -none of whom I know. I’m a bit creeped out by it to tell you the truth. Have you ever seen those Dos Equis commercials – the ones about the most interesting man in the world? Well I am the most ordinary man in the world. I am not sure why following me would have much appeal – its like I saying I will follow say grass growing. Oh well, If they decided to buy a book in the future – then follow away.
Anyway I’m out there – The Most Ordinary man in the World. Let me know your Twitter account when you get a chance.

Hey I got you followed. We are making progress. I also took the time and tweeted out the URL for the project http://www.thecartelcollaborative.com – I figure I might as well start doing what I can to generate whatever buzz I can.

James– congratulations on finishing the course. I got your tweet asking how I was doing but I didn’t want to answer in public. My husband has been a bit off for a couple of weeks but over the past five day he got really really sick and yesterday he was diagnosed with sudden onset diabetes. his blood count was 31.9! regular is 4-7. So I put stuff on hold while this was happening. I’m getting back into things now but that was the delay– thank you for keeping tabs, I really appreciate your partnership.

Oh gosh Lori – I’m so sorry. I hope that everything is alright. I know how difficult things get when you or a loved one is going through some health issues. I just was wondering if everything was alright because I hadn’t heard from you for a while and that just didn’t seem like you.
I’m still around – still doing the Twitter thing so drop me a tweet when the mood takes you. I’ve given myself 3 months to try this and see if it works for me. I’m honestly not big fan of Social Media, but it seems to be a necessity for today’s writers. We’ll see.
I hope your husband is doing better and that things will get back to normal for you both ASAP.

I need to do the course, but haven’t had the time to do it. However, I do have a Twitter account and some of you have already found me. @SunnyJHenderson is my Twitter name. I’m not very good at it, hence the need for the course, but I’d love to talk with y’all over there, too!
