Hi Sunny:
I am still trying to figure out how to use this website! Hope this reply gets to you. I did listen-even took some notes. It seems to be a way to get your project funded (like 10% of it) but you need a platform and people who believe in you. You need a cartel!Looking forward to knowing you,

Thanks, Sue. I’ve participated in a few Kickstarter campaigns (including the one for “Reading Rainbow” that started yesterday), it’s a great concept. Before I launched my first book, I toyed around with starting my own Kickstarter fund, but couldn’t really decide how much I wanted to raise and if it was fair to ask.
What are the rules? The ethics? That’s what I wanna know! 🙂

I too am interested in the Kickstarter platform and was actually considering creating a campaign for my first project. I’m just not sure if people would be willing to support it or if they would use the site to do so, especially those from my local community since Kickstarter only accepts USD contributions.

There are other crowdfunding options than just Kickstarter, I just don’t recall which ones are international.

Hey Sunny,
I may offer the recording to students at some point, but getting the file uploaded is tricky (it’s really big!). However, I’ll leave a link to my notes here. They’re pretty rough, though. Sorry about that. Maybe someone can turn them into a worksheet we can send to everyone?
