We want to unleash our imagination and write stories that people will enjoy. I suppose to write stories that change the readers’ perception of life, whilst reading our books would be our main objective. Hopefully our books will become used as a form of escapism and when the reader has finished the book, it is like stepping back to the real world.

Being famous is not what we want, but creating a character that is would be really exciting.

We hope that this course will be a great foundation for making even our wildest writing dreams happen.

It’s also great to be given the opportunity to make new writing friends, whom we can both help and learn from.

That was a good read. It contains an unexpected whammy after a short trip down memory lane. Well done – not a homecoming we’d ever like to come home to.

Succinct, to the point writing with just the right amount of description. Your story inspired this husband and wife to discuss our own childhood cow manure stories!

Our negative lies in this paragraph:

Summer had just begun and the weeds and grass were six inches tall and already dying. The upstairs window was cracked and spiders had built their winter homes in the nooks and crannies on the doors and windows.

You have at beginning of this paragraph ‘summer had just began’ and then later ‘spiders had built their winter homes’, which doesn’t make sense to us.

A very descriptive and charming story about the ends days of an old goat, he could have been my Granddad!

The end of your story reminded us of Watership Down (the film adaptation of the book by Richard Adams, hopefully famous outside of the UK), which is always a good thing, as its one of our favourite films.

We think that your story maybe a little over descriptive in places.

We think there are a lot of people in temp jobs and even full time employees who feel ignored and not fully accepted and this story portrays that feeling down to a tee.

We really liked the plot and the twist in the end, as now no-one will ever know “The Temp”.

One thing to improve is that the narrative chops and changes between “The Temp” and third person and this could be done a little more seamlessly.
