Thanks for chiming in again, Ann. I know we’ve spoken at great length about this in the Sky Writers group, but I appreciate you sharing again for those who haven’t joined us there yet.
And, of course, I agree. You’re a smart cookie. ๐

Thanks, Margie!
Daniel’s a little precocious, but the voice is something I usually have to work on over drafts. I appreciate knowing where sometimes it falls out of line for some readers. ๐

We’re ridiculously busy, here. Weather is finally nice enough to get outside and work the horses, and it’s my boys’ last full week of school. Not much writing going on here.
How about you?

Hi Judith!
The first book (“Daniel the Draw-er”) is still available on Story Cartel for six more days.
Or you can purchase for Kindle or a paperback version on Amazon.
I hope I didn’t mess up the links. I am terrible with them.

Hi Michael!
The “Octobear” line from book one in this series–the battle scene of that book, if you will. I wouldn’t expect any of you to know that unless you’d read the first installment. ๐

Does it count if this is the sequel, Stef? ๐
I agree with more tension before Daniel caves. That will make it more believable.
It’s such a relief that the story reads well for others because it doesn’t always feel that way for me. It would be nice to say the words just flowed from my fingers, but… nope!
Thanks for reading!

Thanks, Ann! Sky Writers will definitely be seeing more of this, as I’m going to stop sharing “In the Middle” for calls. Most of you have read that by now and offered critiques.
You’re spot-on about Daniel giving in too quickly, and your suggestions gave me an idea to smooth that a little. ๐
