Hey Katie! Glad you’re here.
Hey Everyone Else! Katie’s the best writing ally you’ll ever have. You want her in your Cartel! ๐

Welcome, Sue. Looking forward to sharing in this experience with you!

Good to see you here, Ann! I’m excited to hear about and support your publishing journey!

Hiya, Kate!
Love HP and Chuck Wendig! Glad to see you back this time around!

Hey Stef!
Not a poet, and pretty abysmal at that form of writing, but in the past there have been poets in the course. I’m sure more will turn up, sooner or later!
So pleased to meet you and share in this experience together.

Thanks for reading, Chase!
This is a continuation of a previously-published book, and Bucky gets quite a bit older every time my main character mentions him.
Interesting you should mention “present tense”. Those of us in the Sky Writers group (on Facebook) recently discussed this, and I still don’t know what I think. My stories used to only be in past tense, but then I began using present tense because it made my writing so much more lively. But people mention it all of the time, so you’re not alone. My feeling on this is that I don’t personally care what tone you use if your story draws me in. I’d love to hear more from you and the other Cartelistas on this. Maybe I’ll post a topic in the Cantina!
Thanks again!

Thanks, LoriMarie, for your very encouraging words!
I could post a a topic in the forums, but I’m wondering if there’s something specific you’d like me to share?

Thanks, Sue. I’ve participated in a few Kickstarter campaigns (including the one for “Reading Rainbow” that started yesterday), it’s a great concept. Before I launched my first book, I toyed around with starting my own Kickstarter fund, but couldn’t really decide how much I wanted to raise and if it was fair to ask.
What are the rules? The ethics? That’s what I wanna know! ๐

A Nurse Practitioner? Awesome! I’ve had the privilege of working with some very lovely Nurse Practitioners.
A visit to England is on my bucket list. Just today I told my husband that I need to get out of the States. I can’t live in a place where “totes m’gotes” is a thing. Haha! It IS true that I have a fascination with most things British, so I feel a little stir in my soul when I think about it.
I’m happy to answer to “Sunny”. Almost comfortable with it, really.
Thanks for saying hello!

So great to meet you Paloma! I’m excited to see what you share with us (and jealous of your walking-talking reference manual! That’s neat!).

I’m sorry that was your experience, and, it sounds like, the experience of so many childbearing women in your country. That’s awful and so counter-productive to staying relaxed and comfortable. Ugh.
The US does not have a great ranking when it comes to infant mortality rates despite our innovation, but we are lucky enough to have companions in our birth rooms. That kind of support is priceless.
