Hi, Angie.
Sounds like we have our genres in common. Though I don’t usually write romance, sci fi and paranormal is my favourite. I even squeezed in a bit of romance in the YA novel I’m writing now.
Looking forward to working with you,
Elise

Just remembered that I have some of my flash fiction posted on Wattpad. No romance there, but more dark urban fantasy. I was going through a phase lol

Hi Angie! I agree, it’s quite exciting to have someone in the course who’s dipped her hands into publishing and book cover design work for other authors. Looking forward to learning tons from you! ๐

Hi Angie! Great to meet you and look forward to getting to know you. I agree with all comments here that your perspective on the publishing side of the indie market will be treasured. I would love to read just one-off posts here about your thoughts about publishing as we go through the course. (ie: Your take on Amazon fighting Hachett re: agency model).
The paranormal aspect of your writing will interest me as I am of a similar bent in some of my writing.
Looking forward to getting to know you and your stories more! -

Yes, the email I received from Story Cartel last fall was similarly well-timed! Welcome, and I’m glad you get to publish your own work, Angie!

Likewise, it is astounding how the path unwinds before us at times. Then, at other times, we can’t seem to find the path no matter how much we try. Your publishing perspective and knowledge is a definite asset to your fellow members.
I love fantasy, but I feel like there are no limits on the genres. Everyone keeps talking about Urban Fantasy, but what about Rural Fantasy?

Hi Angie, I’ve learned something from you already. I didn’t realize that there were so many different types of fantasy.
It’s fabulous to have a publisher joining the course. Please jump in whenever possible with your stories and advice for us writers, since we’re often in the dark about how publishing works.
I look forward to reading your writing.
