    Elise,
I love the great circle of giving in that idea. I will keep your website handy as I talk to a number of authors in various categories.

The three-to-five gummy-bear review system is adorable.

I agree with all, if you believe in your book, then you are contributing to the literary discourse that has continued for thousands of years. (Kinda felt like NOT writing that sentence, but I feel strongly in it. That’s micro-publishing and marketing. 😉

I read this early this morning during a particularly bad patch of pain. How is it that each person you come across through Joe’s course is so kind, strong, caring and insightful? (That includes you, of course.) Other writing groups were fun and there was so much to talk about, but this course, through Joe’s example and that indefinable factor, brings the best people into the course and the best out of them.
    Thank you, Sunny!

    Anne,

I came to tell you how beautiful your poems are and I find something else, another story, evolved from an ugly part of your life made beautiful by your words, forgiveness and God. Thank you for sharing this. You and I have walked similar paths. At a young age, particularly if you were beaten, you believed anything that person said to you. As a scientist, I bring the Stockholm Effect into the mix, and then throw it away. Nothing in science can describe the rage that changes the looks of our parents. Science is just numbers on a page, eventually. Guilt is a far heavier piece of data and something no amount of science can describe adequately. Science, and most humans cannot explain the act of forgiveness when the abuse still haunts are dreams. Thank you for sharing this. You help me bring out my voice. I hope to be able to pass that gift, as well as the gift of forgiveness along.

Love your sense of humor, Brian! I came back over and read the rest of your responses (to get to know you better) and your sense of humor is matched only by your writing craft theories.

Have you thought about writing a craft book as well?

That means so much to me. I feel we have a great deal in common and our approaches to problems can only enlighten each of us. How do I know that? Through our words, again. How we use them, no matter what we are writing about, shows our souls, personalities like a mirror. That still amazes me.
The reflection you give off is so kind and gentle. Those qualities are so very rare. I doubt we are the ones who say, “Oh, we’ll keep in touch!” and then disappear. (What a missed opportunity.) So, with that said, once we get through this course or even during it, feel free to DM me @LeeJTyler. I’ve started reading those again now that I’m talking to an author about an interview. Or my email l.tyler21@yahoo.com. Whatever means and whenever you feel like chatting, the feeling is mutual! ;p Here is to future laughter and great conversations! ;p

I could listen to him read the phone book. (Does such a thing still exist?)

I’m quite serious, Joe…I can’t wait to watch your TedTalk.

I’ve read through the comments re: chatting. I’d like to put my hat on TwitChat. (Not sure if it was mentioned before in my reading of the comments.) A conversation on twitter (following our own hashtag) would boost the presence of our group and that of Story Cartel. Any thoughts on this?

    Angie,

I agree thoroughly with Ann; you will bring so much experience into this process. Your presence and insight will help not only with the project, but we will all be able to learn from your as well!

As I’ve stated in another response that isn’t included in this feed, BuddyPress is a great plugin for community.

Lindsay Buroker (through a guest post) has a great article on publishing and marketing anthologies. Check it out here!

What a great community of writers to work with. Thank you all for your spirit and talent! So blessed to work with you.

I have a feeling, as our writing relationship grows, that we might share personal stories just between us. I send you a green scarf to wrap around your neck, for your heart. (That’s from Ebony’s story.)
You know that the quote above was from you. You have such a gentle heart and a thoughtful way of sharing and encouraging. xoxo

You are the rock star! I loved your story. It still floats through my mind. That’s the hallmark of a good story, and a good storyteller! Thank you for your kind words (I didn’t want anyone to cry, though ;).
I am working on your post. Inspirational it shall be!
